Tandoori Paneer Tikka

To Be Mixed Into A Marinade
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp roasted and ground cumin seeds
3/4 cup fresh curds
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp black peppercorns powder
1/2 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds powder
3/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/3 cup besan 
1 tps oil 
salt to taste


Other Ingredients
1 Paneer logs –  cut into 50 mm.

1 tbsp oil for cooking
1 tsp chast masala
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander

4 servings

10 minutes preparation.

15 minutes cooking

  1. Combine the paneer and marinade in a bowl, toss gently and keep aside to marinate for at least ½ hour.
  2. On a satay stick, arrange 3 pieces of paneer. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more stays.
  3. Heat a non- stick tava and cook the satays on medium flame using oil till he paneer is light brown in colour from all sides. Serve immediately sprinkled with chaat masala and coriander.

Handy tip

  1. Alternatively, grill the paneer tikkas on a tandoor or barbeque grill till light brown in colour from all sides.
